We Need Your Help!
Hey Astros fans. My friend and I are currently on the tail end of a 75 day roadtrip where we are attempting to go to all 30 Major League stadiums. We have been filming the whole experience for a series of documentary shorts we hope to release by the end of the season. We’re looking for help from the fans to get some ideas for our film project. We have been looking for stories that are not so much about the players or the actual game on the field, but human interest stories about the people who work around the game and the fans who are the heart of every franchise. Some examples of what we have done so far include stories on the kayaking community outside AT&T Park in San Francisco, the saxophone players outside Busch Stadium in St. Louis, and a famous hotdog vendor outside Fenway Park in Boston. We have unique stories for every stadium we have been to but continue to look for interesting takes in every city. If anyone has any ideas about what you, the fan, would want to hear about in a video about your team please let us know. You can check out our project at www.basecrawl.com and shoot us an e-mail if you have any ideas. Thanks for the help and we look forward to seeing your team.

Welcome to Houston
Houston does not have many traditions around sports but we are starting to get a second generation of fans that may help some.
I would say hit the BUS (Bar at Union Station) across the street just south of Minute Maid Park. There are a couple bars in that area. There are the statues of on the west side of the stadium also. For the most part Astros fans hit the bars and talk about the really great series we almost won. Phillies in 81, Mets in 86, Cardinals in 04’...
Good luck. Very cool project you got there.
My friends suggested I see someone about my baseball problem. So I made an appointment but just ended up helping the doctor with his fantasy team.

Ditto what TBurford said
honestly, there’s not a whole lot of tradition like you mentioned in Houston… Houston is a nice city and all and we have a nice stadium, but… There’s a pretty cool fan group called the O’s Bros that attend every game that Roy Oswalt starts at home that I guess would be one of the closest things to what you are looking for… but unfortunately Roy-O is hurt and I doubt will be pitching anytime real soon.

Little Pumas and Los Caballitos!
You have to film the fan clubs for Lance Berkman (Little Pumas) and Carlos Lee (Los Caballitos.) They dress in costumes and attend every game. Fun! :) You can find both of them on the walkway past the outfield. I believe Los Caballitos hang out near the Crawford Boxes and the Little Pumas are close to centerfield. They should be easy to find. The Little Pumas really stand out.

More info:
Los Caballitos like to carry stick horses, wear hats and Carlos Lee jerseys. They ride the stick horse on the concourse when Carlos Lee hits a home run. I believe Carlos Lee even rode a stick horse in the dug out after a home run once for the fan club. Here’s a video of them.
As for the Little Pumas, they have a website that you can check out here for more info.
