COME ON MOEHLER GO FOR THE JUGULAR!

Let’s start the sweep right now!!

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:07 PM CDT   0 recs

4 pitches!

3 outs! NICE!

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:09 PM CDT   0 recs

I think it was 4 anyway.

May have missed some if I turned away.

Matsui leading off...

He hasn’t done well in the 1 hole, I believe.

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:11 PM CDT   0 recs

and didn't do well tonight

to lead of the game, striking out on a pitch so abd the catcher could not handle it. (thown out at first)

Erstad is the everyday center fielder

if I heard Cecil Cooper correctly on the radio interview.

Makes perfect sense

But I guess they don’t think have anyone to call up from AAA who would be as useful as Bourn. From the sounds of it, they’re trying to make one last run before they pack it in.

by mokulen on Jul 18, 2008 7:41 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Nice ones by Lance and Erstad..

but pretty much right at the fielders.

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:15 PM CDT   0 recs

Cubs down.

Astros up. Nice work Moehler! :)

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:24 PM CDT   0 recs

i suppose it's not even worth

complaiing about carlos lack of hustle. it’s just carlos being carlos. that’s depressing.

Batting over .300

Second in the league in RBIs… 20+ home runs.

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:30 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

WGN put up his numbers against the Cubs and they were really good.

by ol Pete on Jul 18, 2008 7:31 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Tejada!

First hit of the day.

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:29 PM CDT   0 recs

Shouldn't Wiggy be batting here?

Instead of Pence?
Prove me wrong, boy!

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:29 PM CDT   0 recs

yep, if you go by the performance this year

wiggy has been a bit better than Pence.

by lnewcomer on Jul 18, 2008 7:30 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

FWIW. Pence has been a better RBI producer.

He has hit better in clutch than Wiggy.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 7:31 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Wiggy never bats with people on base

Cause Pence is always in front of him. :p

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:31 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Pence swings and misses at outside breaking pitch.

That is how he K’s so many times with 2 strikes. He knows it and said he would try to adjust in the second half….but…..

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 7:34 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Tejada to continue ASG hitting?

He gets a single, maybe it’s a start.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 7:29 PM CDT   0 recs

Brewer outfielders

didn’t do much either

by mokulen on Jul 18, 2008 7:38 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

shhhhhh…

by ol Pete on Jul 18, 2008 7:41 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

And we all know...

Carlos Lee is dedicated to driving in runs. :p
Carlos Lee instead of Hart = NL Win

Sup Crawfish Boxers?

A good ol’ fashion sweep of the Cubbies would do this team a world of good.

Towles just struck out on a ball...

That was about eye level.

..............

...............

........

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 7:47 PM CDT   0 recs

Ugh. Towles looked bad on that swing.

Bourn has to ask: if I’m sitting, why is Towles playing?

Towles needs to pick it up if he wants to stay on the ML roster when Q gets through with his rehab starts.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 7:48 PM CDT   0 recs

Matsui triples...

A lot of batter would have stopped with a double, but Kaz kept going.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 7:51 PM CDT   0 recs

If Lee flyball was a bit to the left...

he might have had a Crawford Box shot.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 8:02 PM CDT   0 recs

On the brightside

Neither is Moehler…

showing why I thought he deserved an A or A- in the pitcher grades earlier today.

he's been ok

but an A or A- pitcher should be an ace, not just good in a sorry lot

Finally leaves the NL central and like some curse he comes back.

by ol Pete on Jul 18, 2008 8:10 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

The explanation I heard that sounds possible was that he was on a medication that he started when he had a concussion and that his turnaround coincided with him going off that medication.

or playing against the Astros

Pence safe on infield single.

Kris Brown, the Texans kicker, is interviewed in the stands. Says he is at the game to watch Darin Erstad who was a Nebraska punter and struck up a friending with Brown.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 8:20 PM CDT   0 recs

Come on Wiggles!

RBI time! Don’t leave it to Towles.

by entropic soul on Jul 18, 2008 8:21 PM CDT   0 recs

Anyone else listening to the game?

Milo Hamilton just went Confucious on his last call… He who hesitates on chopper by Pences lose.

I feel enlightend.

Pence

must be among the leaders in CS? That’s how it feels anyway.

by mokulen on Jul 18, 2008 8:27 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

The Brewers drafted Pence in 2002

Wish we would have signed him.

remains to be seen

whether he’ll be able to reproduce his rookie year performance

by lnewcomer on Jul 18, 2008 8:29 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Didn't realize how poor his numbers were this year

.263/.304/.429, 92 OPS+

by battlekow on Jul 18, 2008 8:31 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

he had a horrible June...hitting something like .200 since June started.

Pence got his OPS near .900 in May, but he has been streaky.

by clack on Jul 18, 2008 8:33 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Pence

is 6th in the league in CS’s. None of the 5 players ahead or around him have more CS’s than SB. link

Hey everybody

I’m a Brew Crew Ball interloper, and big Astros fan for the next couple days.

I really wanted the Brewers to draft him

Fell a bit because of injury concerns.
