Rick Reilly earlier
complaining about the races of the contestants. what a tool.
just off the top of my head, I can think of two prominent minority ballplayers who refused (ARod and Vlad). he’s just trying to justify his new espn paycheck.
I read Vlad wanted to do it a few days ago.
What happened? Changed his mind?

Hamilton just blew everyone away and has a very good chance to be a finalist.
It’s going to be between Berkman, Braun and Morneau for the last spot.
Oops.
Meant to post that after Hamilton was done. Oh well. He’s first anyway. :p

I picked Berkman and Hamilton in the finals
Those picks looking good now. I wonder if Hamilton will be toast by the final round.

I bet everyone is glad
he went last and no one had to follow him.
the rest of the contest feels like an anticlimax
although, there exists the theoretical possibility he could lose
he's heating up
only one of the three guys is going to advance, so Lance’s chances don’t look so good right now.
Hamilton is a freak of nature
lance is tied right now w/ morneau in the 2nd round to be the other person that advances, but Morneau has 3 more outs left.
2 others left to bat in 2nd round.
Berkman just eliminated

I'm definitely going to see it
it’s supposed to be more in the “monster of the week” vein, rather than the conspiracy angle. But I don’t know if they can recapture the magic.
supposedly if it does well at the box office, Carter, Duchovny and Anderson are on board for at least one more movie.
this thing started at 7pm our time
i know they haven’t been hitting the whole time, but it’s dragged on for quite a while. of couse, it seems like hamilton hit for about an hour in the first round.
he was already guaranteed to advance
so he went out and hit a few, but it didn’t look like he was taking full cuts. stopped after 5 outs i think.
it's a contest now

will he get booed if he doesn't win it?
and will Morneau have the most meaningless win in HR Derby history?
MORNEAU

Morneau
Winning is like a team going into the 9th inning with a 20-0 lead and then having to forfeit because they can’t field enough players…
