Albers has labrum tear
The key losses in the Tejada trade were Patton and Albers and now they're both done for the season with labrum tears. Isn't it extremely difficult to come back from that? Tejada has been terrible recently and I'm still hopeful he rebounds - but even if he continues to seriously decine, at least it's good to know the Astros gave up very little to get him!

Luke Scott
Orioles fans see Luke Scott as a big addition.
I guess we didn’t have a place for him and with Bourn swinging the bat the way he is lately, I guess I can’t fault.

Sarfate and Scott are both playing well.
I have to admit that I’m starting to get concerned about the length and severity of Tejada’s slump. Presumably he will come out of it eventually. But if he doesn’t get back on track, the trade may look bad for the Astros.
My understanding is that recovery from repairing a torn labrum is more chancey than TJ surgery, but I don’t know if I would put the emphasis on “extremely” when you say it is difficult. Many pitchers have recovered to pitch well. My recollection is that Taylor Buchholz had surgery for a torn labrum when he was an Astros minor leaguer. So, the Orioles have some chance of getting a return on Patton and Albers, but it could be a year or two.
