And then he hits Hamilton

He could have hit him with a couple of those pitches if Hamilton hadn’t moved…

Bourn squeeks a hit by the shortstop.

1 on, no outs.
Newhan batting second….? uh.. ok.

When's the last time Tejada had a good game?

It seems like as soon as he became 34 he started playing poorly. :p

Strikes out

He’s become so pathetic. No wonder we aren’t winning. Our number three guy can’t hit the ball.

Berkman and Lee walk. Bases loaded

Up to Pence with 2 outs.
But he’s pretty much just been flailing around lately.

PENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skies one to Tal’s Hill.. Hamilton can’t get to it.
Triple and three runs score. :)

Q bunts himself a single. :p

Like it.

Wandy gets a hit.

Like it.

Bourn goes for a bunt hit.. no go, but he does move the runners over at least.

Newhan follows up with a double down the right field line.

Q and Wandy score.
I hope you guys are watching. You are missing a good game. :)

Yes, I'm watching....

but I’ll have to leave soon for a tennis match. I liked Q’s bunt….that is what you call a surprise.

by clack on Jun 26, 2008 7:43 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

wow

Can’t believe what I’m watching here.

Millwood gets a double

Good for him. He’s pitching a horrible game.

by entropic soul on Jun 26, 2008 7:54 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Newhan earning his keep.

Gets a single to left.
Now Tejada, the only hitless starter to bat.

You have to wonder.. when even Wandy and Q can get some hits…

Puma gets a hit

But Newhan is out at teh plat like a dumb ass.

That was a good throw though. Runners move up to 2nd and 3rd.

by entropic soul on Jun 26, 2008 8:13 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Lee gets a free pass

and bases are loaded for Pence again.

by entropic soul on Jun 26, 2008 8:14 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

Pence lines out to short

And unlike Abercrombie, is not doubled off at second.

But Wiggy grounds out.

:(

Hmm

Four baserunners on one out and we can’t manage a run.

by pel on Jun 26, 2008 8:18 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

I'll excuse it this time since we are ahead by 7

But if we lose… I’m calling for the third base coaches head.

Amazingly

Kevin Millwood has more strikeouts than Wandy this game, so far.

It's nice to turn on the game

and see the Astros up 7-0.

ESPN.com In its preview on Accuscore, or whatever it’s called, this afternoon put the Astros chances of winning arounf 70% . That computer progame picked up on something.

Drayton in the radio booth...

Hearing he and Milo kiss each other’s asses makes me want to hurl.

Now talking about Chacon.

Blah blah blah blah. Guess whether Milo agreed with everything Drayton said?

Drayton

Seems like a complete baseball idiot.

Yeah, you think?

Scintillating radio personality, though.

He’s leaving! Thank god.

The calls for the Astros to dump Wandy

have really dropped this season.

Wandilicious!

My Impression...

...is that he’s been more consistent this year.

Before this game, his ERA stats:

Home: 2.10 Road: 3.80

Home/Road divergence is there, but I think a 3.8 ERA on the road is tolerable for Wandy.

Sorry, just got home from work… It sucks while I’m at work.. I can read comments on here, but can’t post anything or respond.

Tejada's average

down around .290.. he’s hitting just over .200 for the month of June… I think it’s about time to put the Puma back in the 3 spot.
