We won't be stealing as much tonight against Molina...

Both Astros runners with terrible base running....

Pence gets caught in a rundown off 3d…..and for some inexplicable reason, Tejada didn’t go to 2d on the rundown.

Berkman breaks an 0-11

With a single to RF

Go 'Stros!

by Stros Bro on Jun 14, 2008 6:22 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Now a Berkman single....which would have scored Pence...or Tejada....

if either player hadn’t brain-farted in the previous at bat.

F*@$#%& FANS!!!

Damnit!! Pence looked to have had that home run by A-Rod robbed but some idiot fsking fan in RF wearing Berkman Jersey with a towlie on his head knocked Pence’s glove out of the way…

Replay shows

Pence would have robbed it… his glove was right where the ball was coming when the fan knocked his glove out of the way… They should send his ass to the parking lot..

An Astros fan helped Jeter get a HR.....

Pence jumped and would have caught the ball, but the fan knocked his glove out of the way and tried to put his own glove up there. Pence yelled at the fan, and the fan just told him to F- off apparently.

I'm still fuming!

Sometimes I really hate our fans!

Did Pence really yell at him? :O

I couldn't tell

he definitely looked by like “WTF?”

Now Wandy starting to falter

Home run followed by a shot off the right field wall for a double, then another double to score Giambi

Wandy gets out of it with a 3-2 Astros lead....

but with no help from Angel Hernandez who called Giambi safe at 3d and he was clearly tagged out while off the bag.
I’m still steamed about the Astros fan who gave A-Rod a home run. I wouldn’t be surprised if that affected Wandy too.

Bourn thrown out on a pitch out.

Astros are starting to look really bad on the base paths. Stros Bros called it, “Astros’ won’t run as much on Molina” but Cooper wasn’t listening.

by clack on Jun 14, 2008 6:42 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ok, this is a joke right?

I’m not an astros fan, but I hate the Yankees, which is why I have an interest in this game. Question:

Do the astros normally give away this many outs? How can you continue to steal and get thrown out? I don’t get to watch much national league ball, but so far, wow. Not impressed. The astros are laying down for the yankees. Ugly.

by gs on Jun 14, 2008 6:53 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

it's worse lately....

normally Bourn and Matsui are pretty good bets on stolen bases and have good caught stealing ratios. But it seems like Cooper has become desperate lately and pushes the running game button no matter what the situation.

by clack on Jun 14, 2008 6:56 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

No not really

We don’t normally give up this any outs, but it’s been worse lately… the Astros are definitely in a slump right now and doing lots of things wrong. Terrible base running lately as well.

With Damon on 2d, A-Rod is walked to get to Giambi....

Deshais questions the decision because it is early in the game….and he has a point.

by clack on Jun 14, 2008 6:53 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Especially since

Wandy walked Giambi

Go 'Stros!

by Stros Bro on Jun 14, 2008 6:57 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

well it's going to backfire apparently....

after going 0-2 on Giambi, Wandy walks him, and then walks in a run on the next batter.

by clack on Jun 14, 2008 6:58 PM CDT to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

So...

Where’d you pick up Wandy Rodriguez? Can you take him out? Is it possible you don’t send him out to be knocked around any more?

Oh my god.

by gs on Jun 14, 2008 7:04 PM CDT reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Astros middle relief will only do worse

Their best chance is for Wandy to get it together

I went and seen "What Happens in Vegas" today

It has Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz in it…

We seen it because there is absolutely nothing in the theatre and me and the wife wanted to go watch a flick… it wouldn’t typically be a movie that I would pay $15 to go see, but we had gift cards…

I’ll admit.. it was pretty funny at times and was actually a decent movie.

Wow, Byrdak was innefective

2 batters faced, 2 walks.

Sampson in… hopefully he can save this

AHHH!

Almost a triple play chance..

Ground ball to Wigginton, tags 3rd, throws to 2nd but Matsui was taken out of the play… That would have been something

Nice job by Sampson

to save that inning.. forced a ground ball double play and then a ground ball to end the inning.

Berman got hosed

That pitch looked way outside.. Berkman is pissed and telling Cooper(the umpire) about it

Pitch tracker shows

that pitch was a good baseballs width outside.

Bunt Hit for Bourn!

Nice job.. easily reaches 1st.. would have taken a bare handed throw, and that would have been a stretch

Berkman hits into a DP.

terrrible. And the Yankees are high fiving each other as they go off the field.

Bah!

That’s 2 nights in row if I remember correctly that Lance has hit into a DP

Jeter strikes out

On a borderline inside strike.. probably got the corner and was a much better pitch than the pitch that Berkman K’d on earlier n the game.

After Cooper orders another intentional walk....it backfires again.

Yankees score two more on a Betemt bullet off the LF walk.

The game is still on?

Oh yea.. that’s what those people walking around with leather on their hands and hats on their head is called… baseball.. I forget
