Wow

Sampson’s first pitch, way over Soriano’s head for ball 1.. message?

yes. but so high and inside, it didn't seem scary.

Chris, if you want a purpose pitch, it needs to be close to his body. That was above his head.

Bourn sucks out.

Dempster has very strange movement with his hand before a pitch. Or what Stros Bro said. :p

JD says he likes it..

I think it makes Dempster look like an ass clown..

Maybe Towles needs batting gloves

to break him out of this .149 slump he’s in… and when I say slump, I mean season.

disappointing to see Towles struggling while Soto is a star.

Towles and Soto looked like similar offensive players in the minors and in limited big league time last year. So I expected Towles and Soto to be competing for rookie of the year, or at least best rookie catcher. But so far, no contest.

Matsui always batting

with no runners on and 1 or 2 outs.

That's what happens when

your leadoff hitter has an OBP of .267

Tejada shows some life...a double.

Ball was kept, because it was Tejada’s 1800th hit, if I heard correctly.

All of a sudden

it seems like the offense is scuffling again.

Biggio says:

LOLZ, Now you want me back as your lead off hitter don’t you? :p

by entropic soul on May 20, 2008 8:17 PM CDT reply actions

a cousin of mine...

is a soccer coach at St. Thomas. I’m a little envious that he’ll have a bunch of opportunities to see Biggio.

The same cousin was also at the game where Bidge got 3000—it was the only game he went to that month. He’d bought the ticket like a month before just in case Biggio was close.

Nice hit by Bourn

just right at the right fielder, more or less.

please get out of this…with our lead intact…PLEASE

Brocail and Valverde...

are the only relievers I feel good about these days.

And I don’t cringe when Wright comes in. Can’t say the same for anyone else, I don’t think.

Oh, I don't cringe..

when Nieve comes in. Not because I expect he’ll get it done (it’s too early to know what to expect) but just because I like him and want him to do well for his sake.

VALVERDE WITH SAVE!!!!!!

A little dicey with a walk to Edmonds….but all’s well that ends well.

by clack on May 20, 2008 9:39 PM CDT reply actions

Easy Win

Two homeruns account for all the scoring.

Cubs get a two-run homer.
Astros counter with a grand slam.

Grand slam wins.
