Who Will Be The 1st Astro to Lose Their Job?
This pretty much happens every year and I doubt we'll go through the entire season with out it happening again, but who do you think will be the 1st Astros starter to lose their job due to poor play? Last season we had both Brad Lidge and Chris Burke lose their starting jobs pretty early in the season. Who will it be this year?
*note* I'm including Valverde in this, even though he isn't technically a starter... but he is the "starting" closer... so it fits in my opinion.

It's all over the board!
Pence is struggling... so it's not surprising to me that a lot of people are picking him. I didn't, but we'll see..

honestly:
wigginton has actually impressed me so far this season until he went onto the DL.... (i realllllllllly dont want to like the guy considering his errors in spring training)
hunter pence is starting to worry me- big time.
not only is he striking out- each time it swinging for the fences. he needs to calm down and be patient in the count. he needs a tutorial from some of our veterans (and we have plenty!)
valverde- WTF IS UP WITH THIS DUDE? i find it hilarious when he literally RUNS from the bullpen- then completely stops before hitting the dirt of the diamond- puts his hat on- then struts to the mound. priceless.
but his performance? UGH

I voted for Wiggy because his...
defense is horrible. It was obvious in the spring, but even without errors in the regular season so far, his fielding still looks shaky and he has no range. Because his defense is worse than Blum's, Loretta's (that is saying something), and probably Tejada's (if he ever moved to 3d base), I think Wigginton has to hit well to keep his job. His offense hasn't been impressive in the spring or in the brief regular season games), but that could change. However, if he has a down offensive year, I could see him losing a lot of starting time at 3d base (perhaps platooned, etc.).

I just don't see it
I don't think Wigginton will be any worse than he was last year, and we know what Blum and Loretta are... it's not like they are going to come out and continue to hit +- .300
Yea, Blum has played well, but I just don't see him keeping it up all season.

yes, texskins - agreed - voted for him b/c of blum's playing. but who -TWO of you - said berkman would lose his job? would love to hear your reasoning on that...
