in one of the most excruciating ball-games I think I’ve watched. But good job to Chacon for managing to make it through the 5th. All I want is for us to score 3 runs and get him in line for a well-deserved first win.

figures that since we keep losing games where he leaves w/ the lead, he’ll leave the game behind and we’ll score some runs.

Blum swings almost vertically at an inside pitch to make it 1-1, and then fouls one off for 1-2. 2-2 on a pitch low and outside. Blum then flies out to CF. 1 out.

OP took a lot of abuse from fans….but I don’t think he hit this poorly.

It’s a great win – that’s number 6 in a row, right.

Astros needed this streak.

The game was (eventually) very much worth the wait.

Chacon really impressed me. He was obviously off after the 2 hour wait, and managed to go 7 innings.

I even had faith in Valvoline, there at the end.

My 3 nominations for Game Hero are Tejada, Tejada, and Tejada. His triple singlehandedly turned around the inning and the game.

so i only saw the 9th inning. great win. loved thinking about all the Cardinal fans tearing their hair out in the top of the 9th, like we were in that first game against Philly.
