You can't make this $&*(& up...

"McNamee's attorneys, Richard Emery, Earl Ward and Mark Paoletta, said Friday they have not discussed or released their client's testimony and will not do so.

'The issue is Roger Clemens and his use of steroids and why he's not telling the truth,' Emery said. 'The issue is not Debbie Clemens.'"

Does that seem like McNamee's counsel is trying to distance himself from the Debbie allegation?  I wonder if McNamee has become a loose cannon who can't be controlled by his attorneys?

As for telling the truth....The Mitchell Report says that McNamee did not discuss PEDs with Clemens after 2001.  Yet, this event supposedly occurred in 2003.

1. Comments that leak from closed hearings aren't always accurate, and sometimes are total misrepresentations.
   
2. Congress is predisposed to believe McNamee because of the corroboration of his assertions provided by Andy and because of Congress' respect for Mitchell.
   
3. As crazy as it may sound for McNamee to have saved junk syringes and other items, it's even more crazy that Roger would have saved a greens fee receipt from 1998 to prove he was out playing golf and wasn't at the party where he and McNamee and others allegedly discussed steroids.
   
4. Let's just wait until Wednesday when the hearings are public and we know for sure what each party is claiming.  If there are major contradictions, Roger's approach will likely have bought him a Congressional investigation, regardless of whether he is right or wrong.
   
5. The Clemens thing doesn't really matter to the Astros with respect to future games.  The fun really begins when (if) Tejada returns to the U.S.
