Astros met with Randy Johnson in Vegas
I can't link to the actually story, because their website is not loading, so I won't subject to the same torture I just went through, of clicking refresh about hundred times. MLBTradeRumors, however, is reporting that the Astros met with Randy Johnson this week. A Johnson signing would be exciting, very, very exciting.

The best part about him pitching for us would be that he isn’t pitching against us!

And the Rangers met with Ben Sheets.
Bad move, Wade… or non move, rather.

If (I hate to say when) Ben Sheets ends up somewhere else, we can still use the Ben Sheets chant, we just have to abbreviate it: “BS, BS, BS!”

Brilliant.
The Crawfishboxes
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Nolan Ryan said that the Rangers have looked at Sheets' medical records...
and ae convinced that he is healthy. The Rangers have Mike Maddux as pitching coach, and of course he was Sheets’ former coach in Milwaukee.

interesting..
however wouldn’t you all agree that the first move would be a trade of tejada and/or wigginton. Unless that happens I don’t think there’s any way we’re adding another “good” starter.

how many Lefthand pitchers does Wade want in the rotation?
Of course, I shouldn’t be picky about that…..I should just be happy that he is still thinking about another pitcher.

Sign him up
Bring it on, I’ll take one of the best left handed pitchers (If not the best) of all time at about $8 Mil for 1 year.
