Around SBN: Dog Football! Which Breeds Are Best Suited For The Gridiron?

"I love it. It's been alot of work, but I've been having fun. I guess the thing that I like most about it is being able to play everyday. Sitting for four days in between starts was tough for me. I like knowing that everyday I show up to the field there is at least the chance that I'll be in the lineup. Who knows where I'll end up as an outfielder, but I know that at the very least I'll be enjoying myself."

For the Tulane students/alums:

I’d like to point out the “alot” in this quote.

The Crawfishboxes
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I'd now like to hedge against a backlash

It’s very easy for me to poke fun at other people’s schools: my school has no football team and is more often than not confused with TX State.

Well, it's a common enough mistake

Besides, you have to look at these in relative terms – writing “alot” isn’t nearly as bad as Vince Young’s general retardation.

And Spelling 101 might be a class at your fine institution, but its not offered here.

It probably should be

That was a great comeback…damnit.

Of course,

I misspelled “it’s.” Maybe we should have a spelling course.

HAHA

Thank you for you pointing out the rebuttal I missed.

Usually works, too. :-)

And hey, we scored 10 against LSU last night!

Another victory for the mighty Green Wave!

We might not beat BCS teams, but… um…. we can damn sure score the occasional points!

Helluva hullabaloo, and all that.

Though it was weird that Tulane actually played fairly well against Alabama earlier in the season. It’s just been downhill since we lost at homecoming.

Whatever, Tulane will kick ass when baseball season comes around.

the Brewers have a tall former pitcher who played 1st in A ball

Brock Kjeldgaard – gotta love those Nordic names – OPSed .853. Its fun to check the box scores and see a guy like that hitting well.

Reds now have Micah Owings and the discussion of position player or pitcher happens a lot with him.

Cards have Rick Ankiel and he still has a fastball arm, that’s for sure.

Hopefully

Boggie develops quickly in AAA next year and we have a legitimate option to platoon in CF with Bourn…otherwise it could be a llllloooonnnggg season.
