Today is a sad day indeed: Fire Joe Morgan calls it quits
Being a statistically minded baseball fan and a lover of trouncing idiocy in others, FJM was my favorite site to read. I really and truly have never laughed as hard as I did at their witty and intelligent barbs aimed at the idiocy that permeates the majority of baseball analysis. It's a shame to see them go, but I want to enshrine their last bit of brilliance with a quote: "For now, we will leave the site and the archives up as a testament to the fact that if you work hard enough, and blow off enough social occasions, and stare at the internet enough, and get nerdy enough, and repeatedly ignore entreaties from your friends and loved ones to please God stop blogging about Bill Plaschke and get out of the house it's a beautiful day!, then you, too, can...have a blog." -- It's so true: just ask the five closest people to me in my life.
