McTaggert at the Houston Chronicle says he talked with McLane and comes away believing that the Astros won't make a run at any of the major free agent pitchers.

From his conversations, he believe the Astros' only big push will be to sign Wolf. Apparently the Astros management believes Wolf for a full year puts them over the top. (yikes!!)
I agree with most of the sentiment here that the Astros have little chance of contending without a major addition to the rotation. So, don't kill the messenger.
