MLB Division Series - A Plethora of Sweeps?

I realize the chances of it actually happening are slim to none... but so far in the division series', it doesn't appear any of them are going to even go to 4 games?  I wonder if it has ever happened that all 4 division series' went 3 games and out.

The Phillies, Rays and Dodgers all lead their series two games to none and could easily take the 3rd game.  If I had to put money down on the outcome of the next 4 games(1 game per series), I would say that the Red Sox will be the only team to lose... which would mean 3 of the 4 series go down in sweeps.  Kind of interesting...

Hmm

I think Harden could win Game 3, he needs to get set early though.

Sox win

All 4 series 2-0 now.

As long as the Cubs lose the next game… I’ll be happy

Wild Card

In past years we hear commentators cry out that the Wild Card teams should not get two home games. I did not watch last night’s games (except for the last part of the Angels -Red Sox game) or any television today (Saturday) but I wonder if any commmentator has made that argument now that Boston is a Wild Card team.

The wild card team

only gets the home field if they have a better record correct?

Makes sense to me that they have home field..

The complaint historically usually is that the Wild Card gets 2 home games at all

I don’t think the wild card ever gets homefield advantage.

From Wikipedia

[In the league championships] Home field advantage goes to the team with the better regular season record, except for the wild card team, which never receives the home field advantage.

ah

So it should be 4 home games for the non wild card team in a 5 game series?

I never thought about it… just assumed the better regular season record always got home field advantage.
