yea

1st inning, Kazmir was SO close to throwing multiple strikes in the 1st inning, but they were all called balls.

Terrible weather

would be nice if the final game of the season was played in nice weather

I agree

and fewer umpire questions. Kazmir taken out for two walks that shou\ld have been strikeouts. Assuming Rays lose this game, there will be justifiably bitter Rays fans.

It’s not right that an entire baseball season ends on a game like this one.

So while I am pulling for the Phillies to win the Series, I hope the Rays come back to win this game.

Ridiculous conditions!

The broadcasters said if they delay the game, and they can’t resume it for whatever reason, the game might be called! :D

That would cause outrage

all over baseball (except for in Philly)

Game suspended

And will resume tomorrow. LOL just read this:

And now for yet another complication: The Rays checked out of their hotel in center-city Philadelphia, in anticipation of flying home after the game — and they can’t get back in, because the hotel is sold out.

They’re scrambling to find rooms — somewhere — as we speak.

That’s a lot of rooms to find!

Reading the Jayson Stark article which you linked...

I am surprised that the World Series has never had a final game which ended as a rain shortened decision. Over that long period of time, hard to believe that there never have been weather conditions which caused such an outcome.

in the past… real men played baseball :)
