Brocail
Today is a happy day for me, because if you know me, I have posted a bunch of times for my dislike of Brocail.
We didn't for sure get rid of him, but we may have. He has been good before, but he is getting old. It isn't that he wasn't a good pitcher back in his time. It is just, most pitchers can't pitch past 40. 3.25 million is way too much as well. Ed Wade looks like he knows what he is doing.

If Brocail is offered arbitration....
which is necessary to get the draft choice, I have a feeling he would accept arbitration. If I were him, I would do that. he probably gets more that way than if he is on the open market (particularly if the signing team loses a 1st round draft pick).

I think your underestimating the desperation of certain clubs for stable bull pens
In a scarce on stability and track record, I think that Brocail can make more than he’d receive at the arbitration table. If I were him, I’d roll the dice on the market before I ceded control of my own destiny.
A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

The title of the last one should read:
“I think you’re..”
