can't quite put my finger on it
but I think you don't care much for the yankees. haha

One plus with the yankees' quick exit is this kills off that "Subway Series" nonsense.  Of course, I keep hoping for an "I-45" series.  Think of the whining there would be with that one. lol

I am simply happy the Yankees...
made the post season, unlike the Astro's.

Now we can make tee times together.

Just to post
I wish there would have been some more feedback on the initial diary about the 07 Astros. I would like to hear from some of yall about your thoughts on some FAs.

I do not want to criticize anyone and I will not do so. I only want to know what other knowledgable Astro fans think(which all are here).

Rastro, I always wanted to know if you were a regular at Sickels site?

Burke will be an All-Star, eventually!

Sickels Is an SBNation Co-Blogger
and I bought his book this year while having visited his site once every few weeks, but no, by no means am I a regular there.

I get most of my minors info from MiLB.com and, especially, from the coverage the teams get locally.  Big fan of Greg Rajan in Corpus Christi, as you know, and the Austin American Statesman does a good job of covering the Express.

Yeah
I'm pretty stoked that the Yanks got bumped.  I also kinda enjoyed the Twinkies getting shown the door so quickly.  I dig the small market success, blah, blah, blah, but they were getting the nob job by the talking heads almost as much as the Yankees "greatest lineup ever" (not too of that talk anymore, huh?  ...kinda like how quickly the greatest college football team ever talk ceased when USC lost in the Rose Bowl... it's just fun to watch people backpedal after making such rediculous statements before they're due).

Believe it or not, I enjoyed watching the Cards win, and I'm probably going to root for them against the Mets.  I have less animosity for St. Louis than most on this board and actually started to feel bad about all the negative press they were getting during their "choke" job.

Bottom line is, I'll be a lot more inclined to follow the rest of the playoffs now that the story isn't being forced down my throat.  I like surprises.

Oh, and before I let myself get too off-track... F the Yankees!
