I was able to hear Tim Purpura on MLB Radio today and the Astros are done adding significant players that will certainly make the 25man until spring training starts.

Since the Wilson acquisition I have put a lot of thought into what position players will make the team next year. Assuming like the last two years that they go away from the norm and take 14 position players(which I am a fan of) this still is going to leave an odd man out. Or at least a man out of playing time.

They will bring two catchers, five outfielders, and seven infielders. Even though one of the infielders played the outfield last year. Cosidering that Bruntlet is out of options and they won't try Burke at SS because they don't rate his arm well, they love Lamb even though he can't field any position, and they have four full time outfielders I think Scott is out of luck entirely.

On the other hand will Willy and Burke compete for center? Will Lane and Wilson platoon in right, or will Bagwell sit on the DL all year? One of these things will definately happen out of spring training. Even if the team options off Bruntlet the team still has these decisions for playing time.
