Won't happen

Even if it gets called that, it won't be happening 15-20 times a year to a variety of famous players, even across sports. My understanding is that Tony Boselli underwent a similar procedure, and no one's rambling on about "Tony Boselli surgery". It's just too unusual an injury and surgery...

Only happened to a famous person once, but it's still called "Lou Gehrig's Disease."

I'm also thinking that Boselli didn't return to the game after the surgery, even though it di help him. . . .
